Libby Page is the author of five novels, each incorporating themes of love, friendship and community. Her debut The Lido (Mornings with Rosemary in the U.S.A.) saw her named a Guardian New Face of Fiction when it was published by Orion in 2018. The novel became a Sunday Times bestseller within its first week of publication and has been published in more than 23 territories around the world. Described by the Observer as ‘a joyful celebration of community and friendship’ and the Sunday Express as ‘a timeless tale of friendship, love and chilly swims,’ The Lido was one of the leading books associated with the term Up Lit when it was coined the year of its publication.
In 2020 Libby’s second novel The 24-Hour Café was released, focusing on the characters found in an all-night diner and named ‘feelgood fiction at its finest’ by the Daily Mirror.
2021 saw the publication of The Island Home, an escapist, romantic story set on a remote Scottish island, which was chosen by Red as one of its top books of the year. It was followed by The Vintage Shop of Second Chances, which is set in Somerset, where she now lives. The Lifeline, a sequel to The Lido, was published in 2024.
In the past Libby has worked in marketing and as a journalist for the Guardian. Libby is currently working on her fifth novel, to be published by Orion in 2024, and she juggles her writing alongside looking after her young son.
