About Amanda Reynolds

Amanda Reynolds is the bestselling author of psychological suspense novels, with six published to date.

Her number one ebook bestseller, Close to Me, was adapted in 2021 into a major TV series starring Connie Nielsen and Christopher Eccleston, airing on Sundance AMC in the U.S. and Channel 4 in the U.K. Described as “dramatic psychological suspense for fans of Liane Moriarty,” Close to Me was published by Headline in 2017. Lying To You followed in 2018 and The Hidden Wife in 2019. Amanda’s psychological thrillers have been translated into multiple languages and been praised for their gripping, unsettling, and twisty plots. Amanda’s fourth novel, The Assistant, was published by Boldwood Books in April 2023 with The Wife’s Secret and Her Husband’s Lie following in 2024, the latter an Amazon Kindle Bestseller.

Amanda’s twisty thrillers have earned high praise from Karen Hamilton, Nikki Smith, Harriet Tyce, the New York Journal of Books, Woman magazine, and Culturefly. Amanda has spoken at the Cheltenham Literature Festival and has taught creative writing for many years, running her own classes and workshops. She lives in the Cotswolds with her husband and their Golden Retriever.

If you’re writing mystery, a psychological suspense thriller, or commercial fiction (perhaps with a speculative or high-concept element), you’ll find Amanda an exciting and experienced coach.

Amanda also writes speculative thrillers as Amanda West. Her first novel in this space is The Memory Foundation, published by Crooked Lane Books.

The Memory Foundation

Wealthy clients looking for the cure for memory loss find themselves trapped in a remote mountainous facility in this ingenious thriller, perfect for fans of Blake Crouch and Alex Michaelides.

‍
Struggling new single mom Natasha Walker is desperate to get back to her job as an investigative journalist. When she receives an anonymous tip about the Memory Foundation, a secretive research clinic that promises the cure for memory loss, she is instantly intrigued. Given her mother’s dementia diagnosis, the story hits close to home. Despite the perilous snowbound location, she’s determined to uncover the truth about the mysterious founders and their patients.

Meanwhile, Lydia Hunter has faithfully worked alongside her husband, Wade, the founder of the Memory Foundation, to revolutionize the way the world understands memory. But the research is expensive, and they’re hemorrhaging money. In order to gain more financial support, they open up the facility to an exclusive group of wealthy guests, promising that each one will experience a “memory flight” that will allow them to relive precious memories.

But when the wealthy clients arrive at the Memory Foundation, set high in the Alps in an area prone to avalanches, all is not what it seems. And when the weather takes a turn for the worse and power outages and a growing sense of paranoia begin affecting everybody, it becomes clear that no one at the Memory Foundation will ever be the same—and not everyone will survive the week.

Close To Me

She can’t remember the last year. Her husband wants to keep it that way.

When Jo Harding falls down the stairs at home, she wakes up in hospital with partial amnesia—she’s lost a whole year of memories.

A lot can happen in a year. Was Jo having an affair? Lying to her family? Starting a new life?

She can’t remember what she did—or what happened the night she fell.

But she’s beginning to realize she might not be as good a wife and mother as she thought.

Now a limited television series from Channel 4 and AMC.

Her Husband’s Lie

She thought she trusted her husband with her life; but a lot can happen in a week...

Handsome doctor Matthew Delaney and his wife Nicole have a perfect life. So when Matthew suddenly vanishes, Nicole is in shock.

As Nicole searches for answers, she uncovers a trail of deceit leading straight to the mysterious Glasshouse—a staggering palatial home constructed out of cut glass and icy granite, clinging to the hillside in a gravity-defying show of power and wealth.

But the more Nicole learns about the Glasshouse and all its secrets, the more she begins to doubt her husband. Matthew’s words before he disappeared were so reassuring, but now they are simply chilling...
