The Flow

Reading Workshop

A safe, supportive space hosted by some of our neurodivergent coaches, all of whom bring practical strategies and lived experience to the discussion. Golden Hour
Drop into a writing session hosted live in our online community for a golden hour of uninterrupted writing twice a day, every day of the working week. Writers from all around the world will be alongside you, heads down at their written work, in a virtual space that offers the cool, calm hush of the library.
Golden Hour is at 2–3pm BST, 6–7am PT, and 8–9pm BST, 12–1pm PT, daily.
Children’s Fiction Club
Join a bestselling children’s author and writers of middle-grade fiction from each of our courses to share the joys and challenges of composing stories for young readers. Enjoy warm, welcoming sessions in which you’ll have the chance to chat about themes, trends, and the tricky questions that shape the genre, from capturing a child’s viewpoint to balancing humor, heart, and adventure.
Crime & Suspense Club
Join other writers of crime and suspense—from those currently outlining to those who are hard at work re-drafting—to gather for a lively and low-key get-together led by one of our bestselling writing coaches in the genre. You’ll find a friendly space to chat about the themes, tropes, and deliciously tense questions that define these dark and unpredictable stories. With expert guidance on all the tricky issues—building momentum, tightening tension, and pulling off twists, reveals, and endings that land with impact—you’ll leave feeling energized, supported, and ready to hone your own killer plot.

Our writers like to get away from the desk occasionally to celebrate with their writer friends and mingle with authors and literary agents at our parties. Our members meet up in the United States and the United Kingdom with annual parties on the West Coast, East Coast and London. See you there!
