The Ultimate Manuscript Assessment:

Our in-house professional editorial team will assess your manuscript’s chances of publishing success and evaluate every aspect of your story and writing: from the overall narrative arc to each character, from pace and momentum to prose and dialogue and provide an in-depth report typically of 15-20 pages with a 45-minute Zoom session with your editor and a marked-up manuscript. For manuscripts of 100,000 words (with a pro-rata additional cost for manuscripts in excess of this standard word count.) With a report and live video session recorded for you to keep.

  • The pitch. The vital one-liner for your novel's successful submission. Is it 'stand-out'? Is it fresh, exciting, smart? If not we will give you insights for development.

  • The storyline. Does your storyline fit the publishing industry requirements for the genre? We will help you get this just right.

  • Structural development. Is the story shape, the narrative arc and character development satisfying? We'll help you decide what to feature and what to revise if necessary.

  • A marked-up manuscript that looks at your work sentence by sentence to consider what each sentence and paragraph contributes to your story, your character development and plot.

  • A recorded debrief video of 45 minutes with an editor for you to keep.

What happens next?

Send your manuscript in your own time. After checkout, you will be directed to a page to upload your manuscript and answer a few questions after purchase to enable you to request editors give special consideration to elements important to you and your manuscript. Keep the link for that page on file and use it when you wish. After submission, we will provide your manuscript assessment within 4-6 weeks.

If your manuscript length exceeds 100,000 words, we will be in touch to arrange a pro-rate additional fee for the extra word count. (If upon review of your manuscript we feel we are unable to help you at this stage, we will advise you as to why and make a full refund.)

 Literary Agency Submission:

Our Submission Service happens by invitation when your manuscript is considered ready for successful submission by our Editorial Team and our Course Director and Founder. We will give you our best advice to get your manuscript ready for successful submission based on your ambitions. We take no commission for the service. We will make a submissions plan with your agreement, recommend you to appropriate agencies, and we will keep you posted and informed as to feedback and next steps and guide you as to making the right choice for you and your career as a published author. Your success is very much at the heart of what we do and we want the best for you.
