Join us for a course and get a community!
Writing can be a solitary endeavor. That’s why our founder started The Novelry. After writing solo for twenty years, Booker Prize listed author, Louise Dean, felt she needed to work with other writers, and she decided to build an active community of novelists with live supportive writing classes and a critique circle of trust.
When you sign up for one of our writing courses, you’ll have immediate access to our program of live writing classes.
You’ll be welcomed into one of the world’s most loved writing communities with 5* reviews from writers from every corner of the globe. You’ll meet writers from the USA, the UK, Europe, Africa, Asia, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and make new writing friends.

Writing craft workshops
Problems? Questions? Motivation lacking?
Drop into one of our weekly Story Clinic sessions where you’ll get the chance to ask established writers for advice and hear how your fellow writers are progressing with their own writing too. One of our writer coaches will be there to offer advice and steer the conversation through aspects of the creative process.
Meet other writers at regular genre fiction workshops. You’ll write alongside those also living a life of crime, fantasy or science-fiction, and more. Meet historical fiction writers from all over the globe and those writing young adult fiction or children’s fiction. In the guided workshops, you’ll get advice and writing prompts, genre specific challenges and exercises to help you develop your writing. Don’t forget Book Club, a chance to go beyond the written words on the page to explore the story from the inside out.

Our writers like to get away from the desk occasionally to celebrate their hard work with cocktails with their writer friends and mingle with our author guests and literary agents at our parties.
Our members flew in to the party in London 2022 from all over the world. ‘What a BLAST!! It’s been a very, very long time since I’ve had such a great night. Apart from having a ton of fun, I just felt so deeply connected, so many tremendous conversations, not a millisecond of boredom, it was a wonderful night.’
We offer annual cocktail parties in London and New York. See you there!
